2023 Kia Telluride Near Pittsburgh, PA

2023 KIA TELLURIDE OVERVIEW

Kia debuted the Telluride for the 2020 model, and it has been a grand success ever since from the perspective of both the average consumer and the professional automotive critic. Something else impressive about the Telluride is just how much it’s changed in three models. In fact, in writing this 2023 Kia Telluride review, we couldn’t think of another nameplate that had received this many updates in its first three years of existence. Perhaps then it should come as now surprise that the latest model arrives with notable changes as well. These include an exterior stylish refresh and an all-new dashboard, but Kia is also launching two new trim levels in the hopes of appealing to another crowd: off-road enthusiasts.

Diehl KIA of Hermitage invites you to learn more about the KIA Telluride near Pittsburgh. We're serving PA buyers with all the information they need to make informed decisions about the vehicles they're interested in.

Kia Telluride Design

Every 2023 Kia Telluride available through our location serving Hermitage Meadville Beaver Falls Butler PA will feature the new exterior aesthetic mentioned in the opener. This includes an updated grille, restyled headlamps and a redesigned front bumper. The LX has 18-inch alloy wheels. The S adds 20-inch wheels and roof rails. The EX adds a hands-free liftgate and power-folding outside mirrors. The SX adds LED headlamps. The X-Line and X-Pro will both feature 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a grille that is unique to the off-road models, taller roof rails and a taller stance with more ground clearance.

The main interior change for the 2023 Kia Telluride offered through Diehl Kia of Hermitage is that Kia has integrated an all-new digital instrument panel with dual 12.3-inch touch screens. Outside of that major change, that interior remains much the same. It provides 41.4 inches of front legroom, 42.4 inches of second-row legroom, 31.4 inches of third-row legroom and 21.0 cubes of dedicated cargo space. The base model features eight-passenger seating, faux leather upholstery, dual-zoned automatic climate control and a six-speaker audio system. The S trim level adds seven-passenger seating, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat and a wireless charging pad. The EX reverts back to eight seats but gives you the option. It also adds genuine leather and ventilated front seats. The SX adds dual sunroofs and Harman Kardon audio, and interior specifics are not yet known for the X-Line and X-Pro.

Mechanics & Powertrain

Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional for all of the returning trim levels. Perhaps one of the most exciting aspects of this Pittsburgh review is that the new models will come with AWD. Those models will also have a lifted suspension, enhanced approach angles and an enhanced traction control system. A tow package available for the EX and S adds trailering equipment and a self-leveling rear suspension and allows for towing up to 5,000 pounds. A similar package available for the X-Line and X-Pro models increases that towing capacity to 5,500 pounds.

Another notable aspect of this 2023 Kia Telluride review is the powertrain. All models regardless of drive layout will have an eight-speed automatic transmission paired with a 3.8-liter V6 engine that makes 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This engine will be used in the new models as well with the notable difference that they will be equipper with more sophisticated traction control.

Safety

The new driver-assistance technologies are another exciting aspect of this 2023 Kia Telluride review. All models now have integrated navigation in addition to the 12.3-inch touch screen that was already standard. Features include Apple and Android smartphone integration. Standard driver assists include a rearview camera, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane keeping and intelligent cruise control. The S trim level adds wireless charging. The SX adds a blind-spot camera and a surround-view camera and offers a head-up display via the SX Prestige package. The new driver-assistance features include enhanced forward collision mitigation with steering-based collision avoidance. It is not yet known which trim levels will offer this option or include it standard.
